Our Heart Shaped Bag Sewing Pattern is perfect as a drag accessory, Valentine’s outfit accent, or everyday statement purse. Designed as a one size project, this bag can be worn as a crossbody, sling, or clutch depending on how you choose to style it. The finished size is ideal for going out and adds a playful, bold touch to any look.
Once assembled, the bag measures approximately 9.5 inches (24 cm) wide, 7.5 inches (19 cm) tall, and 2 inches (5 cm) deep, making it ideal for a small going out bag.
This is an easy to sew beginner friendly project with clean construction and simple techniques. You can add piping for extra detail or keep it minimal for a sleek finish. The pattern does not include strap pieces, giving you the freedom to create your own adjustable strap or attach any strap you already own. You can also make a handle instead of a strap. A fun and flexible sewing project that works for both everyday wear and drag Valentine’s looks.

What are Drag Queen sizes?
Our drag queen sizes are similar to men's sizing but include added bust and hip room, longer torsos, broader shoulders, and larger measurements in the arms and legs, with shorter inseams than women's sizing.

Can women wear Katkow patterns?
Absolutely! Any gender can use our patterns, as long as their measurements align with our size chart.
Additionally, we're working on offering standard women's sizing for select patterns in the future.

What's a PDF sewing pattern?
A digital PDF sewing pattern is a file available for download instantly after purchase. This is not a physical garment. No garments or printed patterns will be shipped to a physical address.
Due to copyright law, you cannot sell this pattern or share the pattern with anyone.
All sewing patterns are individually designed using manufacturing software with true-to-life garment sizing. Please get in touch with us if you experience issues with pattern sizing.
Do the pattern pages have margins?
Yes, our PDF sewing patterns have margins that will need to be trimmed or folded before taping together.
It is important to note your printer settings should be set to scale: 100% and NOT fit to page.

Can any gender wear this pattern?
Yes, anyone who matches the size measurements provided with each pattern can wear them. However, some adjustments may be needed.
Our unique drag queen sizes are based off of U.S. Standard Men’s & Women’s Plus sizes to better fit male bodies with padding.
We increase shoulder, bicep, elbow, wrist, knee, calf, ankle widths, and lower crotch inseams, compared to standard Women's sizing.
All sizes can be altered at the waist, knee, and elbow to achieve a better fit for you.
