Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and talented PDF Layout Designer to join our team. As a Layout Designer at Katkow, you will play a crucial role in creating digital PDF sewing patterns.
About Us:
Katkow is a leading sewing pattern shop specializing in creating high-quality sewing patterns for drag queens. We take pride in our commitment to diversity and creativity, providing a platform for individuals to express themselves through fashion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create printable PDF sewing pattern layouts for multiple printer types (A0, A4, US Letter).
- Utilize digital pattern making skills to create accurate and detailed patterns, notches, and guides.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator for pattern manipulation and layout creation.
- An understanding of pattern size grading
- An understanding of sewing patterns and garment construction.
- Passion for the fashion industry, with a particular interest in creating patterns for drag queens.
- Beginner experience or currently enrolled students in a similar program is acceptable.
Compensation:
This position is offered on a freelance basis with compensation based on an hourly rate, project by project. There are no benefits associated with this role. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to work remotely and flexibly.

Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize 3D digital pattern making skills to create accurate and detailed patterns.
- Digitally grade patterns for our unique body types and size range.
- Conduct pattern testing to ensure quality, fit, and functionality of the designs.
- Revise and update archive patterns.
Requirements:
- Strong sewing skills and a deep understanding of garment construction.
- Proficiency in Clo3d digital pattern making software.
- Beginner experience or currently enrolled students in a similar program is acceptable.
- Passion for the fashion industry, with a particular interest in creating patterns for drag queens.
