Printing at 100 percent scale ensures your sewing pattern prints at the correct size. If your pattern is scaled incorrectly, the finished garment will not fit as intended.
How to print at 100 percent:
- Open the PDF file on a computer, not a phone or tablet.
- Select File → Print.
- In the print settings, choose “Actual Size” or set the scale to 100%.
- Do not select “Fit to Page” or any automatic scaling option.
After printing, measure the test square or ruler located on the pattern page. Use a physical ruler to confirm the measurement matches exactly.
If the test square does not measure correctly, adjust your printer settings and print again before printing the full pattern.
Always confirm scale accuracy before assembling and cutting your pattern pieces.
