After printing your tiled sewing pattern pages, the next step is assembling them correctly before cutting.
Step 1: Lay Out the Pages
At the top center of every page, you will see a code such as A1, A2, B1, B2. The letters run from top to bottom. The numbers run from left to right.
Lay your pages out in a grid format. A1 goes in the top left. A2 goes to the right of A1. B1 sits directly below A1. Continue arranging the pages until the full grid is assembled.
Step 2: Trim or Fold Margins
Katkow pattern pages include printer margins. You can either trim off the margins on two sides of each page or fold them back before taping.
Step 3: Align the Pages
Match the half star markings printed along the page edges. When the stars form a complete star, your pages are aligned correctly.
Use tape along the seams to secure the pages together. Work row by row for best accuracy.
Step 4: Confirm Scale
Before cutting your pattern pieces, double check the test square or ruler printed on the page to confirm you printed at 100 percent scale.
Once assembled, you can cut out your pattern pieces along the correct size lines.
